Attorney Daniel Beck has been a lawyer for more than 35 years in the field of family law, criminal law, personal injury, civil litigation, real estate and business law and has practiced before the Superior and Appellate courts of California and the Federal Courts of Nevada, Idaho and Washington D.C. After years of representing cannabis operators in criminal cases, Dan grew his practice to helping clients establish California compliant medical cannabis enterprises that would provide an effective defense to cannabis prosecution. Over the years, Dan has helped launch and build many cannabis operations. He is dedicated to serving the cannabis industry and has developed a strong practice to support cannabis businesses.
Julie Mercer-Ingram - Cannabis Attorney
For the past seven years, Julie Mercer-Ingram has been a social justice attorney in Northern California. After graduating at the top of her law school class, Julie was awarded a prestigious national legal fellowship assisting rural Californians. She has worked at several federal courts, including serving as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Santa Rosa. With urging from family and friends in the cannabis industry, Julie dove into studying cannabis related laws. In September 2016, Julie joined the Canna Legal team at Beck Law. Julie is passionate about assisting the cannabis community with becoming compliant and continuing to grow their cannabis businesses. Julie lives in Sonoma County with her family and can often be seen riding her cargo bike around with her two young boys.
Jolene Strange - Cannabis Paralegal
With over 23 years of experience in the legal field, Jolene has been the lead Paralegal and Supervisor at Beck Law for the past 7 years and specializes in the area of cannabis law. She has personal experience working in the cannabis industry, and she is passionate about cannabis education, cannabis policy development, and cannabis law. Since helping launch a medical marijuana attorney blog in 2009, Jolene and Attorney Dan Beck began working diligently with medical cannabis operators to educate them about cannabis related laws, rules, regulations and ordinances, as well as providing recommendations pertaining to best practices for operating and managing non-profit cannabis collectives and business entities. Recently Beck Law launched Canna Legal, a practice area specific to cannabis operators. This specialized team includes Cannabis Attorneys Dan Beck and Julie Mercer-Ingram, and Jolene as the Cannabis Paralegal.
